The Right Brain vs. Left Brain test
I can only conclude that I am incredibly right brained. I keep going back, trying various “tricks” people have mentioned that they’ve used to make the dancer flip to the opposite direction. And nothin’. She will not go counter-clockwise for me. Ever. Not even for a second.
turn your laptop onto its right side, and she’ll start turning counterclockwise. for a moment, and then your right brain will take over and see her spinning clockwise again. weird.
I saw it Thomas…for about half a second!
I found that by looking at her feet, I could change her rotation at will. I have no idea what that means. She was going clockwise when I first saw her but once looking low, she was just going back and forth whenever I wanted her too. I wonder what that is all about?
Perhaps it’s an Emperor with No Clothes joke? I can’t see any counter-clockwiseism.
A few minutes later, my 16 year old daughter came into the office, and I asked her to look at the dancer. First she said the dancer was going clockwise. Then she looked away and looked back and said that the dancer was going counter-clockwise. Eventually she ended up swearing that the dancer was changing direction every few seconds.
My conclusion – my daughter has a full brain, and I only have half a brain.
