Where *not* to buy a car in WNY

Stay away from Joe Cecconi Chrysler.

Kelly wrote an excellent post in response to Buffalo Geek’s post about his horrible customer service experience, and he suggested that we Buffalo bloggers pitch in to help.  Since Kelly’s post was teh awesome, here it is in its entirety:

BuffaloGeek recently made a vehicle purchase at Joe Cecconi Chrysler, and the resulting transaction with Joe Cecconi Chrysler did not go well. It seems that the people at Joe Cecconi Chrysler consider customer service to have ended as soon as the vehicle is off the lot, and that any attempt by a customer to procure more service from Joe Cecconi Chrysler constitutes attempted theft of services or something similar. It appears that lying and refusing to talk to customers is the way things are done at Joe Cecconi Chrysler, which is a shame. It’s not like there are lots of other Chrysler dealerships in the region; why, Joe Cecconi Chrysler is just about the only place to by a Chrysler for a fifty-mile radius, so it’s not like the guys at Joe Cecconi Chrysler will miss out on commissions if word of the abysmal, combative, and downright rude customer service at Joe Cecconi Chrysler should get out.

So shop at Joe Cecconi Chrysler if you must, folks, but hold on to your wallets, and make sure you get all the service you think you’ll ever need before you sign the dotted line with the salespeople at Joe Cecconi Chrysler.

Remember that name: Joe Cecconi Chrysler. That’s a name you can trust.

Joe Cecconi Chrysler.

Do read the whole story if you haven’t already…

  2. I need to repost this into my blog.

That is ridiculous for a dealership to treat someone that way.

I just bought my car a month ago (well leased it) and I didn’t have any experience like that! I was even handed two sets of keys! I bought mine at Towne Ford in Orchard Park.

  4. I purchased my new Caliber @ Cecconis – THEY are most definately
the lying cheating, thieving scum that everyone thinks they are.
    heres the jist.
They waste your time ,as they sit around in the main front office (pretending to be working on your deal)
They lied to me about the exteded coverage insurance.
I never recieved the car vac they promised (for a test drive ) I think I did a little better than a test drive.
I was promised 3 years of oil changes- never got
they charged me $150.00 for title & reg . I told them I re registered my vehicle that was getting traded in 2 weeks ago, they said I would get a refund of any ovecharg.
the DMV told me it cost them $14.00 I recieved my reg sticker but no refund.
I HAD to take my car in because all of my antifreeze drained out – they scratched
up the front of my car (right up to where the hood would be up ) and of course said they didnt do it. my car wasnt even clean when I got it. If you complain about them YOU are the asshole thats for sure !!!THE SALESMAN SUCK,THE MANAGEMENT SUCKS
their service sucks 2 different people offered me incentives to bring my customer servey in -unfilled out ,I cant believe they are still in business.
THEY ARE A BIG HERPE SORE ON MILITARY ROAD STAY BACK OR YOU WILL BE OOOZED ON NEXT.

  5. I have also had bad dealings with Joe Cecconi’s. About a year and a half ago we purchase a Chevy Blazer from them and had nothing but problems from the get go. The salesman baiscally outright lied to us and we asked that a few things be repaired before we actually bought it and they said they were done but weren’t. The rear wiper leaked washer fluid when the back was down and we asked that be fixed. So, we get it back and they said, oh, there is no leak here. That is becasue at the time they looked at it the thing was empty! My husband filled it up and the very next day it leaked. They also sold me a useless extended warranty that I paid an extra $2000 for which covers nothing. I am currently in the process of getting this truck fixed because my 4 wheel drive is stuck, among various other problems with this vehicle and this warranty company which is called ROYAL ADMINISTRATION SERVICES, INC./SERVICE SHIELD DIAMOND COVERAGE doesn’t cover jack. Not to mention, when the claims adjustor came to look at my vehicle, he was testing my 4 wheel drive by repeatedly pushing the 4 wheel drive button over and over again (to get it to work) and he ended up breaking it. Nice. i have never dealt with a more inept and rude company in my life than this.
