Yes, life is still pretty busy. The apartment is empty and clean, and now we try to settle in to the new place!
I have uploaded photos for your viewing pleasure, though. (no titles or descriptions yet, sorry!) Click here!

I finally got around to uploading the photos that were on my camera. I have no idea why it took me so long.
This is from (I think) when Rand and I went out to Korea House with John. We were amused by the chopsticks that were labeled “CHOP STICK,” just in case there was any question as to what they were. 😉
And here’s a close-up.
This is from the Fibs/Ookla/other guests show at Nietzche’s a couple of weeks ago. Carl Thiel, who used to be one of the Fibs but really only does guest appearances with them now, did a short solo set.
Rand and Adam performing. (I couldn’t really see Wolfram from where I was sitting. Sorry, Wolfram!)
One of the professors at D’Youville brought his two little girls, who are big Ookla fans. Aren’t they the cutest?
I also uploaded a couple of photos of my wedding invitations preparing to be mailed. You have to be logged in to flickr (and marked one of my friends) to see them. More on this over at the wedding blog.
I sent a photo in to the “Blog” of “Unnecessary” Quotation Marks, and it’s been posted.
Also, my journals are still for sale at etsy! I’ll be posting a few new ones over the next couple of days.
(The glue isn’t really that visible on the actual journal. The flash picked it up…)
Oh, and wedding post soon to come! Happy Monday.
Yeah, yeah…so I haven’t done 1-3…
Even though I am not officially participating in BufBloPoFo (I read about it after the start date, and did not post in any of my blogs on March 1), I wanted to try today’s topic.
(Actually, I may officially participate anyway. I’ll leave it up to the judges. ;))
Who would play you in a movie?
Hmmm…interesting. Over the years, I’ve had quite a few “OMG, you look like ______” moments. I can’t say I agree with all of them, but I’m going to post their photos, maybe a brief story for each, and see what you think.
Lisa Rinna. Most people know Lisa Rinna for (a) Dancing with the Stars and/or (b) Being married to Harry Hamlin. But before that , I knew her as Billie Reed on Days of Our Lives.
In the summer of 1994, I taught cheerleading camp around the country. While at a camp in Tennessee, a couple of the girls stopped me and said, “You look just like Billie Reed offa Days of Our Lives.” (imagine it said with a bit of a twang…) I smiled and said thanks.
Susanna Hoffs. Okay, close your eyes and imagine, if you will, your humble narrator (circa 1992) with shoulder-length hair, bangs, and a perm. One of my college friends insisted that I looked just like Ms. Hoffs.
Truthfully, I can’t remember who told me I looked like Liza Minelli. But I did dress up as Lucille II for our Arrrested Development party:
Isabella Rosellini. This was from a drunk guy at a bar who assumed I must be a lesbian because I blew him off.
Not sure who said this one.
Linda Cardellini…but only because people think I look like Velma, but I’m pretty sure they’re talking about this Velma. 😉
Anyway…
Laura San Giacomo, of Pretty Woman and Just Shoot Me fame.
As far as I can tell…what these women all have in common is that they are Italian and have dark hair. Most of them have brown eyes. Many of them are petite. However, the only one the right age to play me in a movie is Linda Cardellini.
So, what do you think? And who would you cast as my leading man? 😉
Oopsy. This is what happens…I get lazy. 😉
I made cupcakes yesterday, just because. They’re devil’s food with homemade cream cheese frosting (colored pink) and finished with a cinnamon imperial heart in the middle. I sent them to work with Rand.
Also, I finally posted this in my etsy shop:
$10 plus shipping, if you’re interested!
