My car battery is dead. Again.
Except this time? It’s a brand new battery.
Called AAA, and due to the “high volume of requests” today, they can’t even give an ETA.
Sigh.
ETA: So, if my car should need further work done, does anyone have a recommendation for a service shop? Apart from oil changes, the only place I’ve ever taken my car locally is Monro. Oh, and that evil, evil tire place when I got a flat that one time.
Update: AAA arrived. Jumped, and running fine. Apparently, I just hadn’t run it enough over the past few days for the battery to charge properly. Silly me.
That’s a wonderment. There must be some bad wiring causing your trouble.
When I was at UB, I left the lights of my Honda on all the time, because I would always start my drive in the dark and arrive once the sun was up, making me forget that I had turned my lights on. I got pretty good at flagging down fellow UB commuters.
Maybe what you need (not that you can rush out and get one this minute) is one of those battery backpack things that you keep charged in the trunk.
At least that’s the verdict rather than a bad alternator. That’s truly suck-tastic.
Dunno if they’re close enough for you to use them, but we Googly info.
