My grandma crochets, and she does beautiful work. When I saw her over the weekend,
she gave me this afghan:
It’s lovely, and I’m very happy to have it. But, um…when grandma gave it to me, she said, “I can’t be waiting around until you get married.”
Yes, folks…my grandma was afraid to wait to give me the afghan as a wedding gift, because she might be dead by then.
Sigh.
Thanks, grandma!
Which is a very grandmotherly thing to say.
Oh, yes…very much so. Especially when she’s an Italian grandmother. š
I told Hawk this story at dinner yesterday. He larfed.
if not now…when? if not rand…who?
š You have a very cool grandma.
Here’s a great “Italian Grandmother” story….and even better since you know Grandma McGill…when Mike and I got our anniversary card this year it had a prayer card in it…you know the cards with a Saint on the front and the prayer on the back…the one she chose…St. Jude…the patrons Saint of lost causes. Great anniversary message.
Yeah, you win. š
