Book meme

One of these days, I’ll post some actual content. But not today. 😉 Seen at All Things Jennifer first, then at Samantha Says.

These are the top 106 books most often marked as “unread” by LibraryThing’s users.

Bold what you have read, italicize books you’ve started but couldn’t* finish, and strike through books you hated. Add an asterisk* to those you’ve read more than once. Underline those on your TBR list.

*I’d like to add that some of the italicized books aren’t necessarily ones I couldn’t finish, just ones I didn’t finish and never bothered to go back to.

And since I can’t underline, here are books I think I might like to read at some point:

Wuthering Heights
Emma
The Kite Runner
American Gods
A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius
Middlesex
Wicked
Anansi Boys
Eats, Shoots and Leaves (have it, read parts of it…)
In Cold Blood
Angela’s Ashes

I’m not sure if I want to read Love in the Time of Cholera, since I’m not sure if I like Gabriel Garcia Marquez. There, I admitted it. 😉

  2. Thanks for the list, my dear Ms Erin — I’ve taken the meme challenge as well. What’s on the TBR list for the next few months? I could use a good debate after one of these reads.

As for the underlining, I “cheat” and use good old-fashioned html. before the text, and afterwards. (In case that actually USES it as HTML in this reply, that’s “u” in the little triangle brackets before the text, and “/u” in those same brackets afterwards.

  3. Hey Jason…thanks for the tip. I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to do that. 😀

I’ll be doing a year-end wrap up of what I’ve read soon, and I’ll include a TBR list with that as well!
