Someone abandoned these two adorable kitties at my in-laws’ house earlier this week. They keep animals, but they are outdoor animal people. These kitties are caged to keep the large dog from eating them. I’m not kidding.
Sigh.
We visited yesterday, and I am in love. I’m especially fond of the little grey one. So fond, that I am (against all better judgment) considering bringing one home.
Rand and I both have allergies…mine a little more severe than his, and so the list of rational reasons why we should absolutely positively not bring a cat into our house is quite long.
But…but…kitty.
I totally understand. They are adorable!
Our friends are allergic to cats but have 2 anyway. They use an inhaler to help their symptoms.

Those have been around for years.

We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a ferret. I used to be allergic to cats but seem to have mostly grown out of that, but I’m still allergic to the ferret. I just take Zyrtec everyday (both for my pet allergies and pollen allergies) and it does the trick. I wasn’t ABOUT to give up my fur-babies.
I love cats, but kittens I can do without. Go figure…but at this point, I don’t plan to get another cat, because at least 2 members of my extended family are allergic to cats, and I DO want them to come visit often.
I love dogs, but I don’t ever want to get another dog, because they require so much more attention than cats do, and it wouldn’t be fair to leave a dog alone as much as I’m out of the house.
What about a nice robot cat?
Thomas, do you have a heart of stone? You don’t like kittens? I thought even the world’s staunchest cat haters liked kittens. 😉
