So yesterday, I went to Borders to return two DVD boxed sets that I got for Christmas (they were duplicates). The two sets were worth a little over $100 in store credit. Here’s what I got:
Undead & Unemployed, the second book in the “Undead” series
Diary, Chuck Palahniuk
Vanishing Acts, Jodi Picoult
The Ice Queen, Alice Hoffman
*books were buy 2-get one*
Bill & Ted’s Most Excellent Collection (I got this for Jen for her b-day, and couldn’t bear to not have a copy of my very own!)
South Park (the movie)
Field of Dreams (anniversary edition)
The Importance of Being Earnest
So I Married an Axe Murderer
*all DVDs were buy 3-get one*
So all in all, it was a pretty good day. 🙂
South Park, SIMAAM… too… many… quotes…
We were there Saturday, to get the latest issue of Donna Hay for me.
We walked out with four huge cookbooks (thai, chinese, provencal and spanish), as well as five or six books for Alex.
Book stores are very dangerous places for us!
Ok, so books were “Buy 2, Get 1” and you got 4. DVDs were “Buy 3, Get 1” and you got 5 … so what did Rand get? 🙂 Actually, I’m sure it will be in his blog.
The “Undead” book is a mass market paperback, so it didn’t count. And the Bill & Ted set was a good price.
🙂
Let me know how you like Diary. It is the only Palahniuk book I didn’t care for.
