I caved.
Last week, I bit the bullet and visited my doctor, and paid out of pocket.
I was running really, really low on albuterol. I have a touch of allergy induced asthma that’s gotten worse in the past couple of years. It’s not constant…comes and goes…but I’ve woken up in the middle of the night coughing and reaching for the inhaler enough times to be concerned.
My doctor is awesome, by the way. I love her.
Anyway, she wrote me a prescription for the inhaler and one for a nasal spray. I’d been using Nasalcrom, which is available over the counter. It helped, but didn’t quite do the trick. She also gave me a bunch of samples of Zyrtec, because I’m afraid the loratadine just isn’t doing it for me.
I did some research on the internet and decided to order my meds from Rxcarecanada. They came Wednesday. Yay for meds from Canada! I faxed my prescriptions, and the package came in about eight days. The inhaler was under $15 (would have been $23 here) and the nasal spray was $18. Not bad.
My doctor and I are both hoping that using the nasal spray daily will help clear up the asthma issues. Because otherwise, I’m going to have to get something else to take care of that. I shouldn’t have to use the inhaler more than 3 times a week, and there have been periods of time when I’ve had to use it daily…this is not good. 🙁
But yay…yay for drugs from Canada.
It’s pathetic what we have to go through sometimes for health care, eh?
Hope you’re feeling better now that you have what you need.
