I’ve got nothin’. 😉
Busy week…glad to have the weekend upon me. Classes seem to be going well, although I have to confess to preferring one school over the other. (usually it’s one class.)
In other news, I’ve been trying to lay off milk. I’ve suspected, for a while, that I may have a wee bit of lactose intolerance, and it’s seemed to have gotten worse lately. I’ve taken care of most of my milk needs with Silk soymilk. However, I tried it on my cereal, and it just didn’t work for me. I thought about trying the Lactaid milk, but it’s just too expensive to buy and then end up throwing it out because I hate it.
Yogurt seems to be okay, as do most of the cheeses I eat. I bought some generic lactaid tablets to keep on hand for things like ice cream, and that seems to be working. Any advice is welcome!
Have you experimented to determine whether it’s the lactose in the milk sugar or if its the steroids that seem to affect the milk sugar?
I thought I was lactose intolerant until I was at the health food store one day dying of thirst and dying for milk. So I bought a carton of organic milk expecting to suffer three days of intestinal agony, but…nothing.
[Organic milk tastes good on my Captain Crunch’s Peanut Butter cereal, too. You’re right when you say that soy milk just doesn’t cut it on cereal.]
