How many have your name?

This has been making the rounds, so I decided to give it a go. There are NO people with my name, spelled as I spell it. I did it again, spelling my last name in its original Italian incarnation. (there’s an “i” at the end instead of an “e”) That came up with two. As I guessed, I do not have a very common name. šŸ˜‰

  1. Okay, this thing is wrong. And I only know because I uh, Googled myself once and found another woman with the same name and same spelling. And I emailed her, all excited because wow, it’s not a common name and she was like, oh that’s nice, it’s my husband’s last name.

    Oh well.

  2. I have always wanted a better name. My name is the equivalent of Jane Smith. No one ever asked me to spell it. I’ve never had anyone mispronounce it. I have ALWAYS wanted to have a last name that people ask, “How do you spell that?” And I guessed it would happen in marriage. Wrong. I married the equivalent of White. Now I’m Jane White. BORING.
More than 1200 people have my same name pre-marriage. And more than 1000 have my name post-marriage.
If I ever change my name, my last name will be something no one but me can pronounce, like Orzcocoaderatakanakisproccocinopapadopolus. And I can pronounce it, too. I’ve already practiced.
