It’s a small world after all

So, today I went to Tapestry High School to meet with the girls there who are interested in trying out for cheerleading.

Yep, that means I’m diving back into the world o’cheer.

The last time I went there, to meet with the principal, I had a conversation with one of the teachers, who told me they had a teacher there from my hometown. She heard I was coming in today, so she came to meet me.

She says, “You might know my kids. My daughter is 23…” I was like, umm…try again! ๐Ÿ˜‰

“My son is 32.” Ah yes, that’s more like it.

She said his name, and I just about died. I blogged about bumping into this guy not long ago, when I went home to see my cousin in Footloose. (a quick search of the blog leads me to believe that this is one of the lost posts. oh well…) We graduated together, swam on the summer swim team together…and yes, I had a little bit of a crush on him in middle school. (unrequited. how sad for me. fortunately, I recovered. heeheehee)

Speaking of small worlds, I don’t think I blogged this one…while at OVFF, a conversation with Vixy led us to the discovery that I work with one of her close friends (at the university where I teach part time).

What a crazy world!

  1. You are a brave woman. As much as I loved my cheerleading days, no power on earth could lure me back to coaching. The parents! Ack!

  2. I understand the no names in the blog thing, but I am curious as to who it was. Of course, your discretion on whether to tell me or not.
