I’m going to try to make this a quick one…
Rand and I spent Thanksgiving with his family. As I mentioned before, I did miss my family, but we had a lovely day anyway. Sadly, I did not have time to make my apple pie. 🙁
There was a big group there for the meal…aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. That made it feel a little bit more like home for me! I did not take any photos on Thanksgiving day because I was too lazy to get out the camera. I do have a sort of funny story to share, but I think I’ll save it for later.
This is long and full of photos, so I’m going to cut…
We had some more family time on Friday at David’s house…David and his family weren’t able to be there for Thanksgiving, because they were sick.
Rand having some quality time with Aiden.
The boys had fun playing with the Wii.
Timmy showed Evan how to make his own book with cardboard, paper, and scotch tape.
Dan, Betsy, David and the boys went to the Sabres game. Rand and I stayed behind and spent time with his mom, Timmy and the baby.
We got to see everyone on Saturday before they left, and then headed back to Buffalo…I had to meet my friend Lisa for the Disco!
Lisa went to Allegheny for her freshman year, then transferred. She was a cheerleader with me, and she was also my little!
This is us before the spring dance in 1994.
Anyhoo, I came home and got ready for the disco. I tried to make my hair feathery, but it didn’t really work. I ended up clipping the sides back, and just trying to make it look all foofy. Eh, whatever.
I met up with Lisa and her friend Jim, and we grabbed some dinner at Pano’s. Then, off to the Disco!
We posed for a photo in front of the giant shoe.
Lisa and Jim.
Lisa looking fabulous.
Apart from the requisite drunken idiots, the Disco was a good time. Lots of people were inappropriately dressed, in some cases, not even hitting the right decade. (hint: go go dancers do not belong at a disco…)
You can see more disco photos here!
I’m leaving a lot out, but that’s going to do it for me. Perhaps I’ll do a part II at some later time. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
